The P2 shows in the BIOS and passes the tests the BIOS can do on it, but after much troubleshooting it refuses to show in Windows. I currently have a Samsung 960 EVO M.2 drive that works fine, but the P2 will not. Since the HDD cloned to the SSD did not worked as the BIOS didn't recognized the SSD I:ġ- Logged into W10 manually selecting the SSD EFI in Boot Options (not from BIOS but from a black screen with white letters previous to BIOS User Interface)Ģ- Formatted the HDD and I expected the SSD will force boot the other W10.ģ- Once I reboot, no OS was recognized, BUT, the SSD was now detected in the BIOSĤ- As I couldn't log into W10 from the SSD, I created a USB W10 installation from another computer and installed it in the HDD (which was previously formatted as explained in bullet #2)Ħ- Logged into the HDD from the newly installed W10 and formatted the corrupted SSD.ħ- Installed W10 from the USB in the SSD.Ĩ-Once installed, logged into W10 from the SSD and formatted the HDD. My new Crucial P2 1TB SSD just will not show in windows (both device manager and disk disk management). I managed to solve the problem, it seems that indeed I had to install the IRST (intel rapid storage driver), I assumed that when I selected the parent folder after pressing the load driver button that it searches for the driver recurrsiverly but I was wrong.
